Microgreens, Nutrition & Health Benefits

Microgreens are young vegetable greens, somewhere in between sprouts and baby leaf vegetables. They are flavorful, adding freshness and a splash of color to any meal.

Most varieties of microgreens are rich in potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium and copper. They are also a good source of beneficial plant compounds such as antioxidants.

Their nutrient content is concentrated so they often contain higher levels of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals than the same quantity of mature greens. They also contain a wider variety of polyphenols and other antioxidants.

With all of this said, adding microgreens to your diet may reduce the risk of diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimer's, diabetes, and certain cancers.
